Big Sur National Park

Sunday we drove to Big Sur National Park to camp and hike. It was real close to the ocean so the weather was nice and cool. Hayden had a great time at our campsite. I was constantly on my toes though because he would want to play near the poison ivy and the embankment that lead to the creek. Boys will be boys!

If you notice the mountains are black. This is due to the Big Sur fires that burned earlier this summer. Majority of the trails were still closed for hiking. In one weekend over 1400 fires were burning throughout the bay area due to heat lightening.

This was our campsite at Fernwood Campground in Big Sur. We put our tent up on the top deck and Aaron put his tent on the bottom deck near the creek. Hayden had a great time throwing rocks into the creek. My son, Pig Pen. Whenever he would walk, dust and dirt would just fall off of him.

Field of beautiful Sunflowers.

Your pics are great and yet again I am so jealous. Have fun the rest of the summer.
